During the COVID-19 pandemic, sales on some items have skyrocketed. Here’s a look at some of the best selling items on Amazon right now.
One of Amazon’s top sellers in their clothing section is the neck gaiter.
Not only will this help mitigate the spread of viruses like COVID-19, it also protects from the sun and other outdoor elements.
I’ve seen hunters and fisherman wear these, too, so they have been around for a while – serving more than just satisfying government mandates for face coverings.
I personally don’t own a neck gaiter, but I know several others who do; they seem to think they’re worth having.
They come in all kinds of types and colors, so I’m sure it will be easy to find one that fits your style.
I like how they don’t have to wrap around your ears, and they look more comfortable than a traditional face mask.
Since they are made from stretchable fabric, they seem to be more breathable. And like most reusable masks, they are machine washable (which is nice).
Not only can they be used for covering the face and mouth, they can also be used as head bands, hoods, and neck coverings.
The no-touch thermometer is one of the hottest products of the year, I think.
One of the most common symptoms of the Coronavirus has been (without question) running a fever.
99.9% of positive cases have all come from people who have had a fever, so a thermometer is one of the most useful tools to have right now.
This is probably why one of the first things people do to help mitigate the spread is check a person’s temperature. They do it everywhere – the doctor’s office, dentist’s office, schools, work, and other office places.
And it’s no surprise they’ll usually be using a no-touch thermometer like this one.
According to the CDC, no-touch thermometers may help minimize the spread of germs.
This is primarily due to the fact that they don’t have to touch the person that is being checked, and they can usually be checked at a distance of sorts.
The infrared thermometer takes forehead temperatures in about a second, and can even be used on a moving target.
However, there are some concerns as to the accuracy of these thermometers, but other practitioners have said that the readings are accurate. Otherwise, they wouldn’t use them (an inaccurate reading would be of no use to them).
Bluetooth smart speaker
A popular smart speaker that has ranked #1 on Amazon’s electronics best-sellers list is the 3rd-generation Amazon Echo Dot.
What I like about this speaker is how compact it is. You can place it anywhere you want without having to worry about it taking up much space.
It has voice control features and can play music from a playlist of your choice, from your mobile phone, or from applications like Spotify.
You can also use the speaker to control certain appliances in your house – like lights and fans and such.
The speaker I use isn’t this exact one, but it is similar. I primarily use mine when working out at home (since I don’t go to a gym).
And since most people are spending a lot more time at home right now, this might be a nice item to have.
I imagine it could serve multiple different purposes: entertaining, educating, listening to music, etc.
Hand sanitizer spray
Hand sanitizer is another item where sales have gone through the roof, with some increases around 1,200%.
It’s no uncommon to find hand sanitizers listed among Amazon’s top trending products – with most being sold out right now.
However – the last time I checked – this hand sanitizer spray was still available on Amazon!
I love the sprays because they’re super convenient, and they don’t leave a sticky residue on your hands like the gels do.
Anytime I go into the grocery store, put gas in my car, or touch something unusual, I spray my hands down with a spray like this as soon as possible.
I pretty much have these sprays all over the place.
They are especially convenient when you are not always able to wash your hands right away.
There you have it, some of the best selling items on Amazon right now; get ’em while they’re hot!
If you get free shipping, even better!
Not to mention – social distancing and stay at home orders might make Amazon a better way to shop right now anyway.
